THIS COURSE IS SUITABLE FOR COMPLETE BEGINNERS AS WELL AS PEOPLE IMPROVING THEIR SKILLS.
YOU WILL BE GUIDED STEP BY STEP THROUGH TOOLS, TECHNIQUES AND PROCESSES IN A SUPPORTIVE AND RELAXED ENVIRONMENT.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
THE COURSE OFFERS FIVE FULL DAYS OF STONE CARVING.
TO CREATE A CALM, UNRUSHED EXPERIENCE, ACCOMODATION IS PROVIDED FOR SIX NIGHTS, WITH ARRIVAL THE AFTERNOON BEFORE THE COURSE BEGINS AND DEPARTURE THE MORNING AFTER THE FINAL CARVING DAY.

DO I NEED A HIRE CAR?
WE RECOMMEND HIRING A CAR SO YOU CAN ENJOY EXPLORING THE SURROUNDING AREAS AND TRAVEL FROM THE AIRPORT. HOWEVER WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER AIRPORT TRANSFERS FOR A FEE, IF NEEDED.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VENUE IS A RUSTIC, HISTORIC SITE WITH COBBLED PATHS, UNEVEN SURFACES AND STEPS. AS A RESULT, IT IS NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. WE ARE HAPPY TO DISCUSS ACCESS QUESTIONS WITH YOU PRIOR TO BOOKING.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
COMFORTABLE CLOTHING, STURDY BOOTS OR SHOES AND FINGERLESS GLOVES IF YOU ARE NOT USED TO WORKING WITH YOUR HANDS.
WE PROVIDE ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS.
YOU WILL LIKELY WANT TO TAKE YOUR PIECE HOME, SO LEAVE SOME ROOM IN YOUR SUITCASE (ROUGHLY A LOAF OF BREAD SIZE!)

WHAT IF I WANT TO STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE AND JUST DO THE CARVING?
WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU MAY WISH TO STAY ELSEWHERE AND JUST ENJOY ATTENDING THE CARVING DURING THE DAY. SO WE OFFER A 'CARVING ONLY' OPTION
THERE IS A BOUTIQUE HOTEL 'IL SALOTTO' IN LAVINA WITH WONDERFUL RIVER SWIMS THAT WE RECOMMEND.
OR Albergo Dell'Angelo in Pieve di Teco - aN historic hotel dating back to the Napoleonic era.
THERE ARE MANY EXCELLENT LOCAL RESTAURANTS NEARBY, WHICH WE CAN GIVE YOU A LIST OF DURING BOOKING.

PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND POLICY
Course Fee & Payment
The total course fee is £1,800. A 30% non-refundable deposit (£540) is required at the time of booking to secure your place. The remaining balance of £1,260 is due 8 weeks before the course start date.
If you cancel your booking More than 8 weeks before the course start date You will receive a refund of any amount paid above the £540 deposit.
Between 4 and 8 weeks before the course start date We will retain 50% of the total course fee (£900). Any amount paid above £900 will be refunded.
Less than 4 weeks before the course start date : Unfortunately, no refund can be offered and the full course fee is payable.
The £540 deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.
If you have not yet paid the balance :
If cancellation occurs after the balance due date and the full fee has not yet been paid, the outstanding amount required under the above terms remains payable.
Transfers :
You may transfer your place to another person, subject to approval and completion of required forms.
Transfers to a future course may be offered at our discretion, subject to availability.
If we cancel the course :
In the unlikely event that we cancel the course, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including the deposit, or the option to transfer to a future date.
We cannot be responsible for travel or related costs. Travel & insurance Participants are responsible for their own travel to Italy and are strongly advised to arrange appropriate travel and cancellation insurance.

no REFUND after 4 weeks.
Transfers – you can transfer your place to someone else or sometimes to a future course.
