The Ligurian Experience
A five-day stone carving course in Liguria, northern Italy

Join us for a practical 5-day stone carving course in the Ligurian hills, suitable for beginners and experienced carvers.
Led by Tom Brown, Master Stone Carver, QEST Scholar and qualified teacher, the course offers calm, structured tuition in traditional carving techniques, with participants working step by step towards a finished piece to take home.
This is a non-residential course, so participants arrange their own travel and accommodation, while lunch is included each day and prepared by ANTONIO, a local chef, using fresh Ligurian ingredients.

THE REGION
Our 5-day stone carving course takes place at Antico Oleificio, on Corso Mario Ponzoni in Pieve di Teco, Liguria.
Set among rugged hills, olive groves, historic villages and rushing rivers, this part of northern Italy offers a beautiful and atmospheric setting for focused creative work.
Known for its rich artisanal heritage, traditional architecture and deep connection to land and craft, Liguria is the perfect place to carve, slow down and be inspired.
Pieve di Teco is just over an hour by car from both Nice and Genoa airports, making it easy to reach while still feeling a world away. The beautiful Ligurian coast is only around 30 minutes away.
